Philosophical essays are welcome on any topic, but preference will be given to papers that reflect this year’s theme “Understanding in Community.” Only undergraduates may submit papers. All papers accepted for the conference will be published on the web in the Annual Proceedings of the Greater Philadelphia Philosophy Consortium Undergraduate Philosophy Conference. Papers should be approximately 2,500 words. Papers may be sent in hard copy or via email and must be prepared for anonymous review. The program committee consists of Undergraduate Philosophy Majors and is chaired by James Benecke. Make sure the author’s contact information and identity do not appear anywhere in the paper. If sending an electronic version, please send MSWord or pdf files if possible. Respondents are also requested. Please let us know if you are willing to be a respondent or commentator (respondents need not submit a paper but may wish to do so). Send your paper by email to GPPCUPC2019@gmail.com. The deadline for submissions is February 1, 2019. Notification to authors will be sent no later than early March.
